To this, 5-amino-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (4g, 23.23mmol) was added at 0C and the mixture was stirred for 10 minutes. To this, 4- nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride (6.2g, 27.87mmol) was added at 0C and the mixture stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The mixture was diluted with ammonium chloride solution and diethyl ether.
