0.88g (0.005 mol) 2-amino-6-cyanobenzothiazole was dissolved in 10 mL of N,N-dimethylformamide, 0.4 g (0.01 mol) of sodium hydroxide was added with stirring, After 10 minutes, 1.26 g (0.005 mol) of 2,6-dichloro-3,5-dinitrotoluene was added thereto, The reaction was continued at room temperature for 5 hours. The organic phase was extracted with anhydrous magnesium sulfate and evaporated under reduced pressure.
