A series of novel 2-(4-aminophenyl)-6-substituted benzothiazole derivatives were prepared and evaluated as potential β-amyloid PET (positron emission tomog.) tracers. Were prepared from proper 2-amino-6-substituted benzothiazole derivatives through basic hydrolysis, intermol. cycloaddition and N/O-alkylation reactions.
