Applying the complexes in the nickel-catalyzed carbon-carbon cross coupling of aryl halides with benzylzinc bromide excellent yields and selectivities of the corresponding diarylmethane have been obtained. Moreover, various experiments have been performed to shed light on the underlying reaction mechanism.
